Onboard Booking

I assume that Silversea still offers a 5% discount on any cruises booked while onboard a SS ship.

They used to offer an “open booking” option where one put down a refundable deposit while onboard and could get the 5% discount on a cruise booked within a certain number of months (six, as I recall).

Is this “open booking” option still available?

Thanks.

Rather than the open booking, you are better off reserving a vista suite on a cheap cruise way off in the future.  You can then cancel that cruise and move the booking to whatever cruise you want and still keep the 5% discount.

Yup.  I have never understood why people did an opening booking when an actual booking was cheaper, longer, and more flexible.
