All the venues look empty. Have they talked about positive Covid cases on the cruise? We are scheduled for Jan 29th, hope we get to go. Have they discussed stopping sailing for a period of time?

I can only comment on our sailing and it’s going according to a schedule.  I only heard one announcement that one guest positive and 1% positivity rate overall so about 21 people including crew.  Nassau is still up until the air.  As far as canceling sailings the crew onboard would not know that’s a corporate decision so there is no discussion.

Day 6

I am not sure if it’s just me but I find the tail to be very tender and very good quality.  Comparable to Fine Cut!  Of course our server rushed the tail as soon as it was ready so it was hot.  He said if you let the tail cool it will become chewy.  It was excellent.  On lobster night it’s not the best night to dine at specialty restaurant.

I booked the 1/22 sailing -- so excited to experience all the wonderful things you've shown us. Benny, you've turned my bummed-they-cancelled-my-vacation mood into Snoopy-dance happy! Thanks again for the inspiration!

Benny,

Do you recall the brand of Sav Blanc ( my wine of choice)  from Chile?  I usually drink it from New Zealand but would love to try one from Chile.  Thanks.

I don’t remember who asked, but we have been getting Los Cinco Soles vanilla for years.  It’s the best.  I thing I bought enough for a few years.  Available at a large shop at the pier as well as in town.

How would you compare the taste next to traditional vanilla?

You are welcome.  You will love the ship.  Remember, keep your self safe and keep your distance to avoid being close contact traced.

My husband was extremely disappointed by the lack of beer choices in Craft Social. They probably had 10% of the beers listed on their menu. The bartender - who was pretty surly - ended up putting the available beers on the counter to “choose” from. Im sorry but Mich Ultra is not a craft beer. Celebrity shouldn’t advertise this as a craft beer venue if they don’t stock it.

There is a thing currently going on called Covid.  Many supply chains are strangled.  People need to make sacrifices.  The fact that your husband's beer selection on a cruise during a pandemic when other cruise lines are cancelling sailings left and right is truly a first world problem and is probably ranked about 999 out of the top 1000 things we should be worried about right now.

Just be thankful you were able to cruise when you did.  There are others on RCI and NCL that can't make that statement.

So, the extravaganza is for two meals - both lunch and dinner?  Or were all those pictures for one meal?  Holy moly.....

That was at the Oceanview Cafe at lunch on the last sea day of this week as well as last week.  Don't know about dinner since we never went to the buffet for dinner any of our 12 nights.  We were at the MDR's for 8 and specialty for 4.

BennyBrun - what a fabulous job!! And your positivity made it even better!!  We originally booked our March 5th cruise for the ship, Key West and Grand Cayman.  Now it's just the ship, and you have sold us on that 10 times over ☺️ Best review ever and some of the best food porn ever!!  What a great job!  We were sold on still going no matter what and you just made us that much more excited to go!!

Hopefully by March you'll be able to see the ensemble shows back in Eden.  Over our 12 nights it's been a handful of singers only.

We were there.  Thought she was great.  We enjoyed her show more than Crystallize and the Tree of Life.

The best though is Rockumentary tomorrow night.  Fantastic. Best show I have seen on 37 cruises.

No not at all.  Just be like a hermit at home, social distance and hopefully test negative 48 hours prior.  And enjoy the cruise, it's a fantastic ship, even more so with the reduced capacity.

Too bad. Not only was dinner surprisingly tasty up at the Oceanview Cafe, eating out under the stars in the aft dining area was quite nice, especially when none of the other 1,700 passengers that were on our cruise thought of eating out there. 😎

I'm sure you had a good time, but so far we are 11/12 with enjoying the MDR and Fine Cuts and Eden for dinner.   So as far as I am concerned, I missed absolutely nothing.  I can count on one hand the number of times I have done the buffet at dinnertime on my cruise and it was on lesser lines whose MDR quality did not reach the bar that the Apex granted us.

Understand. We used to sail on Oceania and ate many evening meals up at the Terrace Cafe under the stars and it just reminded us of that. When we first started eating in the Apex MDRs, the food was very tasty. However, after a few nights we got tired of folks being sat right next to our 2-top and since we were on a B2B and had to pass an antigen test to go on the next leg, having folks 3 feet from us and wanting to chat just wasn’t going over too well with us.

With 1300 last week and 1065 this week we never had someone at the table next to us at any of our dinners or at our B2B sit down lunch.

I am just keeping fingers crossed that everything stays status quo over the next three weeks before our B2B on the Mardi Gras.

The Mardi Gras is going to be very different.  Think self serve and take the stairs!  They pack the elevators on the Mardi Gras and social distance was not really practiced.  That was what happened on our cruise 80.16% to capacity.  We still had a great time!  Different but great!  I hope you will too!

Currently sitting at Eden watching the Night of Love.  Consists of singers and the cast from the Caravan show that was at the "Club" a few nights ago.

Our schedule is in sync tonight!  We were also at Eden for the Night of Enchantment.  Excellent excellent production!
