We were on the Duches last fall. Boat was half to 3/4 full. River was not open during main dinning. Both were open for other meals.

Same experience for us on the Duchess in August - 137 passengers. The River Club was as you noted.

The Duchess has "The River Club & Terrace". The "The River Grill" sounds like the Empress. Its been a few years but, I believe the grill menu was different than the dining room....we ate there once.

We were on the Queen in October 2021. The River Grill was open for breakfast, lunch and dinner. All served buffet style. Dinner might have some of the same offerings as in the main dining room but not always. Not a terribly large number of foods either. Very limited but good.

Our main complaint was more that there weren't many tables inside to eat at.

We were too, that boat doesn't open River Grill for dinner.   Going on the Countess which does and am curious about it or the other ones that do.
