Port of Miami parking

We are considering driving to Miami and parking at one of the port garages for an upcoming cruise.  Any recommendations/suggestions/cautions?

Mostly each terminal in Miami has a parking garage/lot attached to it. The most convenient parking garage is the one near Terminal J. You drive to the terminal, drop off your luggage with the porters, and drive less than 100 yards to the 4-5 story garage. Couldn’t be simpler.

Wonder if it ever gets full. Maybe they take reservations?

No reservations necessary. Just get there before 11:30 - 12:00 or earlier. Disembarked passengers also park there and that opens up new parking spaces. Offsite parking areas are cheaper but more of a hassle and possibly harmful to the car and involve shuttles back and forth.
