The venue's operations also depend on the staffing. At times, the theatres were closed to live performances and they showed movies instead. You will just never know for certain in the next month or so.

How would a movie differ in attendance from a live performance?

Only the number of people attending.

Resolution: Restrict the number attending.

Yes, Bafinegan is correct. Many of the entertainers were ill so they periodically didn't provide shows but showed movies instead. So, in truth, people could say the theater was open...

Sorry! One concern we all should have is

SOCIAL DISTANCING!

It is almost impossible when you travel.

Airports, planes,  terminals, ships, MDR, etc.

Contact tracing is another concern. Passengers quarantined based on it.

Stay Safe and Happy Cruising!

I think you totally missed the reason behind the comment or didn't read previous comments.  My comment was in reference to the theatres being open to show movies but no live shows.  If the entertainers were sick, that could be a reason as to why no live shows....

Perhaps in our stress, some of us don't communicate as well as we should. I also understood what you were clearly saying. And then some are more intent on giving the rest of us a lecture like we don't understand the suggestions that have been given to us for two years now...

Dec 23 on SS the shows were all canceled. The theater was closed.

In the YC there was no distancing in the restaurant, Top Sail Lounge or Sun Deck.  Pre covid attendance and setup. The restaurant was full and number of tables same as pre covid on Seaside.

Most of the ship there were no longer seats placarded as unusable for distancing.

The entertainment aft venues were full at night and not distanced. Name that tune in the Uptown Lounge one night was just absolutely packed.

Ive got photos but to post I’d have to blur them for the privacy of fellow guests.

I think you missed my point.

Social distancing.

Read OP who also addresses social distancing. It's a joke.

That is more important than the entertainment staff getting sick and the show didn't go on.

On Meraviglia right now in YC.

No masks, distancing is made a joke of.

Pool in YC is packed, I know I am in it.

No one has said anything to us or anyone about masks. Elevator usage is not 4 people as posted.

Whole thing is just an effort to promote the protocols but not enforce them.

Looks good on the surface

Thank you for posting what is really happening  onboard. This should not be happening.

That is why we canceled 2 of our upcoming February cruises.

People do NOT follow rules and Cruise Lines do NOT enforce rules!

Stay Safe!

I don't know if people read other CC forums? I read most of them. You get two sides to every subject.

The only thing I can say is

Believe what you want. It is your money, your decision.

You have a choice. Cruise or not.

Stay Safe and Happy Cruising!

Sorry I asked this question as I didn't think I would get a lot of comments from people who have not sailed in the last couple of weeks.

Thanks MSCDivina for your response.

No comments on the casino?

Casino is fully open. No blocked off tables or machines. Open even while in OC this past Monday at 3pm even though we did not leave till 9
