Explorer of the Seas Southern Caribbean - Port Heavy and choosing excursions

 Share

Recommended Posts

With such a port heavy cruise - I don't want to schedule excursions for the whole trip. I enjoy sea days and want to keep cost at a minimum. Does anyone have must-dos? Pointers? Haven't been to many of the ports - we love snorkeling, general exploring, boating, adventuring... We will be with 2 teenagers.

I am thinking maybe 3 excursions and 3 beachish/walking/cheapish days.

SAN JUAN, PUERTO RICO

CHARLOTTE AMALIE, ST. THOMAS

ST. CROIX, U.S. VIRGIN ISLANDS

PHILIPSBURG, ST. MAARTEN

CASTRIES, ST. LUCIA

BRIDGETOWN, BARBADOS

BASSETERRE, ST. KITTS & NEVIS

Great itinerary!

San Juan- walk around...eat...drink mojitos...maybe go to the forts if you haven't been

St Thomas- Beach of your choice!

St Croix- snorkeling at Buck Island excursion

St Maarten- Beach of your choice!

St Lucia- excursion to the Pitons! I like the land/sea tours!

Barbados- either easy taxi to the Boatyard OR catamaran trip

St Kitts- GREAT place to do a general island tour
