Interesting that it's pre-recorded music instead of a DJ. I wonder if that's better or worse.

With so few people onboard, do the evenings seem dead? Or is it just nice to not have crowds?

6 more days until we're on the Enchantment!

Hard for me to judge as this is our first cruise but I can compare it to countless all inclusive and we are not bored.  We make our own fun by dancing and singing and interacting with crew.

As for the viking crown lounge it is too loud for us.  We have been spending most of our time in the centrum and Boleros.

I saw in the Roll call that some of you placed bids for upgrades?

How much did you bid?

we are on enchantment for March 5, so we still have time to bid.

Thank you

$225 pp for upgrade from oceanview to balcony category 1B

Thanks for taking us along on your cruise.  We will be on the 28th and will be joining our dnl and her mom, they are already onboard.

Glad you have enjoyed your cruise and are looking forward to more in the future.  Now you are addicted.😄🍹

We got this cruise from myvegas.  So free as we have never spent anything in those games.  We paid 32.00 to upgrade to an oceanview.  Then I bid the minimum of 150 per person for our balcony and it was accepted.

Just got back onboard.  We left and walked the beach and toured a campground (we are avid campers and have a fifth wheel).  We met a couple from Ontario that live very near us.  Both of us are a long way from home but chose different methods of transportation.  I've driven our fifth wheel from Ontario to Key West and let me tell you a cruise ship is easier.

So glad you are enjoying your first cruise.  For active folks like you Enchantment does not have a lot of extras but you are still having fun.  I would suggest you next try Anthem or Oasis out of Cape Liberty.  For us, we like them all!  Continue to enjoy.  Katherine

On the ship in 5 days!

How are the Schooner Bar entertertainers? Anna on piano, and then Ross Leadbeater in the evening. Is Ross fun?

Fresh Beat and Latin Dream good?

I'm noticing that there's only 1 main show in the theatre each night. I wonder if that's because of the low population of the ship. And no music/dance shows in the theater yet, correct?

My husband and I are also on this cruise and we’re having a grand time.

There is no 9 am nerd lecture, which I always enjoy, and the Enchantment doesn’t have a sauna and steam bath as the Grandeur does, but it’s all good.

The ship is delightfully empty. I don’t like crowds and I go to bed early, so I don’t care if there’s only one show in the evening. The staff is, as usual, wonderful.

The first few days were cold as heck outside. We spent two days maybe sailing in the rain, which was beautiful as long as you had a warm coat. Now in Port Canaveral it’s only 58 degrees at 2:20.
Passengers are all wearing masks at the places we are asked to. I’m in the Solarium now, and people have them off when seated and put them on if they get up.

edrussell:  Are these pics from Cape Canaveral?  Also where did the Enchantment dock in Cape Canaveral?  Is it docked closest to the ocean?  We have been on the Grandeur out of Baltimore.  We could see the ocean and campground from the ship back then.  Now we have a cruise on the Enchantment the end of March also out of Baltimore.

Our funky jeep excursion was canceled due to operational issues.  I don't wear a tinfoil hat so I don't think it was C related.  So we plan on exploring Nassau ourselves and will likely go to Atlantis and donate some money to the slots.

Port Canaveral was such a fun day.  Spent the day in the pool and hot tub and enjoying adult beverages.

Off to the MDR for our nightly ritual.

Ahh I had thought that might be the case, sad but understandable and appreciate the confirmation ahead of time.  Just have to enjoy the hot tub a lot.

Another night in the books.  After another wonderful meal in the MDR we came back to the room and I fell asleep for about an hour and a half.  My wife wandered, donated a little in the casino and came back.  I had just woke and she was done for the night so I wandered a little myself and ended up taking a withdrawal from the casino.  We are halfway to a free cruise with the promotion they have on right now.  With any luck we will hit that mark.

Today Harmony on the seas passed right next to us, and BOY that is a monster.  It was very cool to see it pass by so close.  2 other Carnival ships passed as well.  I guess someone mentioned we were docked at a slightly different dock than normal.

We are sailing towards Nassau for an 11:00am docking time.  We will be off the ship as early as possible and we will see where we end up.  Tentative plans is to visit Atlantis, but no idea if that will materialize or not.

Until tomorrow!

We were docked nearest the ocean yes.  About a 10 minute walk to the campground.  All the pics from today are from Cape Canaveral.

One last today update.  My wife was full and we took her dessert as a take away.  We almost forgot but when I put some water in the fridge haaazah.  Cheesecake in the room.  Total win.

Just ordered our breakfast to enjoy on the balcony tomorrow morning.
