AandBmom Posted February 7, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 7, 2022 I'm hoping someone can help me out. What time zone is the ship on? Does it stay in that time zone? Is the time different in ports?
AandBmom Posted February 7, 2022 Author #2 Share Posted February 7, 2022 ok so from comparing the carnival schedule to the local port schedule it looks like the itinerary is listed in port times, not ship time. Anyone confirm?
famof4togo Posted February 7, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 7, 2022 I believe only Cabo is an hour off on land, but I believe you are to stay on ship time as far as sal away goes.
tidecat Posted February 7, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 7, 2022 Did the Cabo-Mazatlan-Vallarta itinerary on Splendor a few years ago. The ship is never more than 1 hour behind the time in your port of call. The ship keeps US Pacific Time except for Puerto Vallarta, when the ship keeps US Mountain Time. Cabo and Mazatlan are what we in the US refer to as Mountain Time, and Puerto Vallarta is on what both the US and Mexico refer to as Central Time. cellfree Posted February 7, 2022 #5 Share Posted February 7, 2022 Carnival stays on Ship time.

The Panorama switches time zones after Cabo and then changes back after PV. The ship time changes from PST to MST. It still makes ports about an hour different from ship time.
