Wow - I wonder if we will receive these? We are small players but did get the Alaska offer that came out last month which we have booked for June. Would love to book another.

We are small players as well and recent got the Alaska one.  We JUST got this 21 day PC one yesterday, but for an Inside.  Still a great deal, as you can pay to upgrade.

Are the casino offers delivered in the regular mail or online? I haven't received an offer of any kind for a very long time. I don't know who to contact to get back on their mailing lists.  Thanks for your help.

I got mine in an email yesterday.  It was for the Panama Canal cruise with a free inside cabin as others have stated.  They are having some other promotions on this cruise as well.

@travelnapi booked that cruise and understand you need to show the e mail to casino cashier.     Now I can’t find it.  It it really nesarry to show it. I heard your Marino’s number will be on file with the cashier for the offer.

I think it depends on the Ship, JMO.  On Nieuw Statendam we didn't have to show it but my Daughter and her DH just sailed Rotterdam and they had to Show it in order to get the Free Play/Drinks. 🤷‍♀️

We have received casino offers by mail in the past, but the most recent is the first one that caught my eye. I did a quick search on my Mariner account and I see a private offer price of $249.75 CDN for an obstructed view outside stateroom (Alaska)

Since the Casino offer is for a free stateroom, am I to understand that I would not pay $249.75 x 2, but only the fees and taxes, plus $260 CDN x 2?

I'm waiting for a call back from our cruise consultant but thought I would ask here.

Thanks.

While I cannot say for certain, my educated guess is that the $249.75 CDN is the base fare and you get $200 US dollars in OBC (per person for both of these).  Thats how our US deals work - you get a free cabin but have to pay $200 pp for it, which you get back in OBC the same $200 pp.  I think they do this to be certain you have some investment in the cruise (it is non-refundable), so that if you cancel you lose the $200 pp.

That sounds right. We booked a 'free' room a couple of weeks ago. As Canadians, we paid $250CDN each and was told we then have $200USD each for on board credit.

New email received today with great itineraries, including a few Asia itineraries. The offer also included free play and a drinks package.Just wish I had more vacation time available.

We received that as well. "Trying" to squeeze another one in but the timing is hard even though we are retired. So many great deals in 2022, but with 3 booked, a move, and a pooch to kennel, we seem to be having a hard time booking another (but never say never!).

I also got the new offer today with the Asian and other itineraries and this was for a free ocean view room, along with free drinks in the casino.  I have never had to show the email in the casino for any previous Casino bookings I have taken, so that may be something new.

I have only been on one casino cruise with HAL but I have two more booked. I could be wrong but I believe everyone who books a casino offer gets drinks in the casino while playing. My understanding is that bringing the offer is good for making sure you get any free play that might be offered. I am taking copies of my offers with me for the Statendam.

You might also need the copy to get the ‘deposit’ money credited back in the casino if that is how that particular promotion is set up. Apparently there are differences. On my one casino booking on the Eurodam the ‘deposit’ was just set up as OBC on my shipboard account as was different from the ‘free play’ I was also offered which was loaded to my card in the casino.

Does Holland America give your personal information out to other companies?

I got the new offer email today. Just for the heck of it I looked at an outside website to view some of the itineraries.  I will attach a photo of how the pricing appeared to me. I forwarded this to my mother, who would have the time to travel and she does not see the Mariner Society pricing.

How does this outside company (not HAL)  know to offer me this?

Even though it is not the exact offer I received from HAL ( a Signature Suite, free play and drinks package)., it is very suspicious that that is how it appears for me and not my mother.

This company does have my email address as that is necessary in order to look at their website but I have never booked a cruise with them on any cruise line.

Anyone  else experienced this?

If you book a casino event you get free drinks in the casino. If it is simply a casino offer you must qualify to get free drinks in the casino. The offer clearly states that the email offer must be presented to the casino cashier. Most of the time the cage is aware of your offer but sometimes the ball is dropped so it is best to have the email offer with you.

I see that same thing from the same outside company. Have you ever booked a cruise with them on HAL? We have, so that is how they know for us.
