Corby114 Posted February 13, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 13, 2022 Taxi fare is currently twenty eight dollars plus tip for one way travel. Always plenty of cabs available at MIA and the Port Of Miami for your return trip.
JohninDC Posted February 13, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 13, 2022 "Best" is a stretch limo with a stocked bar! 😎 Besides a taxi, Uber or Lyft are easy and will save you a few dollars.

We take a cab from the airport to the hotel and subsequently to the port .... not always in best shape but available rather quickly. But, from the cruise port to MIA we use CATA car service .... never disappoints. Don't want to break the spell after a wonderful cruise.

UberX is typically a standard sedan - think Toyota Prius or Camry - that can accommodate 2-3 passengers and a couple of large bags in the trunk. If you think you need more room, or have 3+ passengers you can opt for UberXL. They also offer Uber Comfort, which is somewhere in between. Once you make the booking the driver and vehicle info will be displayed - contact the driver if you think his car might be too small for your bags. My kids pushed me to make the jump from taxis to Uber and Lyft several years ago, and I have just about given up on cabs since then - usually cheaper, always cleaner, and you know the cost up front! Download the app, watch a couple of You Tube videos, and take the plunge! 😎
