Love the Haven Breakfast bar.  Grab some fresh fruit, maybe a muffin, and I'm on my way for the day.

Ditto, some mornings we had a nice sit down breakfast and got something from the bar and the menu other days I just walked in a got a few different things from the bar and headed back to our balcony. Our butler was in there one morning and noticed me taking food out, he laughed and said you realize you could have that delivered. I laughed and said I didn't know what I wanted to eat until about 10 minutes ago

Funny....I'm the same.  Sometimes I wanted a sit-down breakfast in the restaurant, others I wanted a "grab and go".

My Butler would always tell me "Mr GG....this is what I'm here for...to get your breakfast".  I would tell him..."I don't know what I want until I see it."

One morning, the Butler asked if I wanted him to bring me one of everything on the Breakfast Bar so I could see it.  LOL!

🙂

This thread has been unusally quiet for over a month now, so I thought I'd try to wake it up a bit.  In late September we will be in an AFT Haven Suite on the Breakaway.  I've searched through this thread and the last posting, with detail, that I could find was in 2022.

I've done pretty extensive research into this cabin, its layout, distrance from the Haven restaurant, lounge, bar & sundeck, etc., but I'm wondering if anyone has sailed in the Haven onboard the Breakaway in 2024 that could update me on their experience.  Bonus thank yous if you also stayed in an Aft Haven Suite. 😃  TIA

We’ll be in the Haven on Breakaway in early September. If there’s anything we can check for you, let me know!

Not an aft cabin, but have been in the Haven on the Breakaway 3, maybe 4 times.  Been in the Haven on the Getaway, Epic and Prima!

The Havens on the Away ships are nearly identical.  Overall, the personnel (concierges and Butlers) are all clearly trained to the same (high) standard.  The concierges will take care of restaurant, entertainment, reservations, billing snafus, escorting on and off the ship.   Butlers will take care of the in suite dining requests, serving snacks, refreshing coffee supplies.

Haven restaurant/bar wait staff are the best in the fleet.

Haven pool and lounges area are served by Haven wait staf.

It doesn’t bother me, but Aft cabins are pretty far away from the Haven Restaurant, Pool and bar.

Again, all Haven staff are the best in the fleet!

stayed in aft, big balcony on Bliss ( deck 15 I think).  I liked the location.  Got my extra steps in for the day by walking the hallway towards the front, then taking two flights of stairs up to the Haven Entrance, and the small flight of stairs into the restaurant.  The only problem I had with the cabins, was everyday, there were traces of soot on the lounge chair towel and balcony floor.  I started pulling the towels back over there the lounges, and dragged them closer to the under cover area.  I think the cabin steward would change them out every few days after he saw what I was doing.

Our very first cruise was in an Aft Suite on the Gem. Everyday, not matter if we were at sea or dock in Bermuda we had some amount of soot on the balcony. The first time it happened my wife had white pants on, didn't notice the soot on the chair and ended up with black spots all over them. The room steward apologized and had her pants cleaned by the end of the day. Every morning the room steward was washing down the balcony deck, not just ours but all of them. I don't think its as much of an issue as it use to be

My favorite cabin on the Gem, which we sailed 20+ times, was non-Haven Penthouse aft cabin 10664.  It did have soot on the balcony.  Jim prefers forward cabins, so our only other time in an aft cabin was on the Joy.  Balcony was amazing!  Didn’t notice any soot there, but did note that it’s about 230 steps from cabin door to forward Haven stairs/elevators.  Not only did we get our steps in, but we climbed the stairs for extra credit😁
