All our bags are packed... We're ready to go... (C'mon, you know the words.)

Hey everybody!

The ironing is done.
The shoe trees are in place.
The garment bags are hanging in the horseless carriage.

Tomorrow, it's nasal swabs and croissants. Then, the open road to Port Canaveral and a week on Mera in YC.

For those of you who will also be on Mera during the 20th-27th, feel free to introduce yourselves. You'll know me a mile away. I'll be the 6' 5" guy who is dressed up all the time, except for gym/spa. (I wasn't kidding about the ironing, shoe trees and garment bags.) Just say, "Judging by that ensemble, you must be Robert from CruiseCritic."

For now, though, please share your hints and hacks for a first-rate first time in YC. C'mon and spill those beans!

Thank you all in advance.

Wonderful...you will have a lovely time

We just got off 4 B2Bs in YC

The YC experience is lovely--- food, service etc

I will say we did have some questionable folks/bad behaviors/ characters --- so sometimes it felt like dinner and a show...

LOUD demanding folks that felt self important

SMOKERS smoking in non smoking area

a few other things ....

OC is beautiful and a nice retreat experience. Take water shoes for YC because some of the deep sand was washed out from the hurricane that had parked over the Bahamas in recent seasons and the deeper sand we had 2 yrs ago along the waters edge is thin. Hopefully they will regroom it. We did note they groomed the beach between day 1/day 2

Food in YC restaurant is very nice and changes daily.  There are some always available options

Rudolph will wine-pair your meal if you ask him for his rec each evening

The ship is immaculate and the crew is accommodating

Masks ARE worn when you leave your room/in theater/casino/going to Top Sail Lounge or to the One Pool Deck.

B2Bers are rechecked before every sailing.

Crew is regularly tested and they wear masks except in their own cabin.

testing at the port IS effective and the cruise right before ours--50 folks were denied boarding because someone in their party came up positive. MSC takes this seriously

Have a wonderful cruise.

Have a wonderful cruise.  We will be on her later this year.  We are fairly new to MSC but enjoyed our last cruise with them on Divina.

We do not have a ton of $$ for cruising and always book with a TA so if a problem arises let them deal with it and for ourself just enjoy the time away.

This song is sung leaving your MSC cruise.

"All my bags are packed
I'm ready to go
I'm standin' here outside my cabin door
I hate to wake up to say goodbye
But the dawn is breakin'
It's early morn
The taxi's waitin'
He's blowin' his horn
Already I'm so lonesome
I could die
So kiss me and smile for me
MSC tell me that you'll wait for me
Hold me like you'll never let me go
'Cause I'm leavin' on a jet plane
Don't know when I'll be back again
Oh babe, I hate to go
There's so many times I've let you down
So many times I've played around
I tell you now, they don't mean a thing
Every place I go, I'll think of you
Every song I sing, I'll sing for you
When I come back, it will be a B2B...." Song by John Denver
