bobpell Posted February 21, 2022 #1 Share Posted February 21, 2022 Is it: Book a pricy cabin? Book a year ahead? Mariner 4 or 5 star? Or do you storm the gangway early? Curious minds!! bob
Rare The-Inside-Cabin Posted February 21, 2022 #2 Share Posted February 21, 2022 It's one of the great mysteries - no one has been able to decipher a pattern. Definitely has nothing to do with Mariner status. I suspect they try to coordinate boarding times with airport arrival times for people arriving the same day. Otherwise it may be random.
Rare FlaMariner Posted February 21, 2022 #3 Share Posted February 21, 2022 We've learned from our cruises in October and December of 2021 that boarding time does not matter. Just go when you want and no need to worry with that...... We "climb onboard" as soon as they drop the rope and let us......Got to get to lunch and get the party started! LOL.
KAKcruiser Posted February 21, 2022 #4 Share Posted February 21, 2022 It might have to do with people staying in hotels booked through Holland America. It seems that the early boarding times go to this group.

jhsocal Posted February 22, 2022 #6 Share Posted February 22, 2022 As mentioned above, the method deciding boarding times is a mystery. Suspect storm the gangway is what they are trying to avoid during these Covid times.
