Boarding Time for Cruises

For those who have recently taken a Silversea cruise and stayed overnight at a hotel, when does Silversea come to pick you up to take you to the ship?  We want to know whether we will have time in the morning to do some sightseeing rather than sitting around in the hotel all day.  Were you forced to stay in the hotel for covid testing?  We will be departing from Athens.

Good morning, I sailed from Athens but it was last summer so not sure if protocols have changed.

You will have plenty of time to sightsee.  IF you are staying at one of the SS hotels? The buses didn't leave for the ship till the afternoon. The rapid test takes place at the pier, not at the hotel.

Thanks Lois.  Yes, we are staying at a Silversea hotel but its not in the city centre and the drive time is 30 minutes.

Not sure, but when you go to the Silversea web site and go to your bookings-they ask you what time do you want to board the ship—-1st time was 1:00PM.

I may be missing something, but I don’t see any references to ship boarding time in my bookings? Is that associated with a hotel stay?
