Portside Medical Screening Questions

We are set to embark on a cruise this Saturday.  My wife has had a lingering cough for a couple weeks.  She had two negative COVID test at the onset of her illness and a third negative test today.  When completing our online Health Assessment, she said yes to having a cough because it has lingered for a while and she would probably cough during check-in.  This triggered Carnival's red flags and now she has to be seen by their medical staff at the port.  Has anyone been through this extra portside screening?  Does anyone know what additional documentation she will need?  She has not been seen by a doctor in the past two weeks because it is a simple NON-COVID cough.  Thanks.

If you can get into a doctor prior to Saturday, having a diagnosis other than "cough" would probably help. Frankly a cough with unknown caused that has lasted two weeks is worth seeing a doctor for anyway. It may be a new medical condition or she may need antibiotics.

We had a friend, years ago and before Covid, that answered "yes" due to a lingering cough.  She was quarantined to her room for 3 days.  They even would deliver her meals to the room.  She wasn't allowed out of her room for anything.

@FloatingFour What ended up happening with this situation?  A friend of mine just answered yes to a runny nose likely due to allergies (she has tested negative for Covid this week) and now it won't let her go further in the health assessment for her or her daughter.  Curious if you were able to cruise

Following up to answer my own question for others-- re: our friend who answered yes to the runny nose question on the health screening 3 days before our cruise (she wasn't able to finish the assessment.) She was expecting to get "flagged" for further screening at the port but was waved right on through the line after she showed her negative tests and CDC vax cards.  No additional hoops to jump through at Port Canaveral
