JBCall Posted March 5, 2022 #1 Share Posted March 5, 2022 Hi all, We are looking at one of the triple or quad VB rooms on the Koningsdam. I was wondering if someone could tell me if there is a curtain that can be drawn across the room to divide the area between the bed and the sofa? Once the sofa bed is made up is there much room to get past it to the verandah? Thanks.
CruiserBruce Posted March 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted March 5, 2022 Certainly not in a Neptune on KDAM. Doubt it in other cabins.

jkrislc Posted March 5, 2022 #4 Share Posted March 5, 2022 I don't believe any of the cabins--even the family ocean view ones--have a divider between the sofa and the main bed.
oakridger Posted March 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted March 6, 2022 (edited) @JBCallHere's a suggestion to consider. The Pinnacle ships have Signature Suite layouts where the vanity/dressing area has a single Murphy bed. There is a wall between that area and the main bed area. If I had three people this is the room I would want! It has more privacy than even the Neptune Suites as @CruiserBrucementioned. No interference with the veranda at all. Added plus is the much larger bathroom for three people. Older ship's Signature Suites are my favorite! ~Nancy Edited March 6, 2022 by oakridger
kb4683 Posted March 6, 2022 #6 Share Posted March 6, 2022 🤔 I’m sure I have read somewhere on CC (not necessarily the HAL board) that someone had brought magnetic hooks and a shower curtain to divide the space by placing the hooks on the ceiling then hanging the curtain. JBCall Posted March 7, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Thanks @oakridger we will remember this for future cruises. I think your suggestion @kb4683could work for us. Now off to get some magnetic hooks and a shower curtain. Maybe a curtain with duckies? 😁
oakridger Posted March 7, 2022 #8 Share Posted March 7, 2022 Have a great time! Make sure to get the heavy-duty magnetic hooks.
JBCall Posted March 10, 2022 Author #9 Share Posted March 10, 2022 When you say heavy duty are you suggesting magnetic hooks that can support 15-20 lbs or 100 lbs?
oakridger Posted March 11, 2022 #10 Share Posted March 11, 2022 JBCall, if it's just a shower curtain than the 15-20 lb hooks will of course work! I mentioned it because some people use the hooks from the ceiling for hanging shelves or for hanging backpacks, etc. Please let us know how the curtain plan works. I think lots of people may try your plan. ~Nancy
