Should be buy our tickets for the Mt Roberts tram from RCL, buy them online or buy them when we get to the tram.  We will be on Ovation what is the distance to the tram we're seniors can we walk or is a shuttle available through RCL?

We have never pre-purchased the tram tickets.  While the line may seem long the tram cars are sufficiently large that it moves quickly.  And this is an attraction which you may want to forego if the weather is bad.

Do you know which dock the Ovation will use?  Most of the docks are very near the tram ticket office.  The AJ dock is the farthest out, and while we walk the distance I believe there is a shuttle.

Cruise Ship Schedule Calendar Combined Ports (secureservercdn.net) show they dock at Ak Steam Dock and google says that is 0.2 miles and 3 min walk. Don't buy the tickets until you can see top to verify you will have good views.  sightcrr.

Thank you for posting this resource.  Will be helpful for our time on June 5th.  Grandma struggles with mobility and this will help in talking with her and our group about plans for Juneau.

If mobility is an issue, you might want to have / rent a wheelchair for her (assuming she doesn't normally use one).  It's still a bit of a distance from the ship, as well as waiting in line to get on the tram, as well as possibly waiting to get the tram off the mountain.  Or, look into one of those walkers that she can sit on.

FYI, there is a public restroom just outside the tram ticket office.

Thank you for the extra information.  She has a walker that allows her to sit, but I will definitely bring up the wheelchair rental idea.  Also thank you for information on the bathroom.

If the weather is bad the tram isn't a good choice. Wait and buy them off ship, if the day is nice. Or...if it is bad in morning and clears up you can still go

I think my cruises have always docked at the far pier. And there has always been a shuttle that drops off near the Mt Roberts Tram.  Otherwise, it would not have been a comfortable walk for someone with mobility limitations.

Have a great cruise.
