Blue Light Card

Anyone booked a cruise recently and had their Blue Light Card accepted and given extra obc. Cannot find P&O on Blue Light website so I am guessing they have stopped accepting it.

P&O and Princess are have not been on BLC for a number of months now. Royal Caribbean still are with a 10% discount!

I booked a cruise on the Arcadia 2 weeks ago and despite not being on the BLC website our membership was accepted for £50 OBC.

We could not use our BLC because we had used Tesco vouchers

We had to phone P&O direct on this occasion and you cannot do it online. Some companies in the past have successfully obtained our BLC discount but it’s a rarity now.

BLC says have to book direct and be a select fare. Amount of obc you receive differs with cabin grade and duration of cruise. There's some other terms and conditions as always with these things

One of which is that you have to take your card with you. I always have but have never been asked to see it.

Our travel agent said they could not give us the BLC obc but reduced the cost of the cruise by the same amount we would have received.

I rang them at the weekend and they added the credit for the two cruises I booked direct. They couldn’t add it to the one I booked onboard as it already had increased credit. A good result though!

I saw a post today from P&O saying you have to make the booking directly with them on the phone
