hallux Posted April 5, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 5, 2022 You might find some suggestions over here (which is actually a better place for your question). - https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/315-west-coast-departures/

If you look on the West Coast Departures board you'll find discussion of hotels. In San Pedro itself it seems as though the Crowne Plaza and DoubleTree are the two most frequently mentioned names. casofilia Posted April 6, 2022 #5 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Best Western San Pedro is very close to the port
Ixtoras Posted April 6, 2022 #6 Share Posted April 6, 2022 Others have mentioned the couple of options closest to the port. Depending on your plans and where you are flying in and out of, Long Beach has more options for dining and entertainment just walking around and is only a 10-12 minute Uber to the NCL port In San Pedro. (And 7 min from the Carnival port in LB.) We tend to fly 8n and out of Long Beach Airport so it's more convenient. San Pedro is closer to LAX. We've had good experiences with the Rennaissance Long Beach, Courtyard LB downtown, and hotel Maya. Hope you have a great time.
JourneyDS Posted April 9, 2022 #7 Share Posted April 9, 2022 We just stayed at the Crown Plaza in March and would recommend. Took advantage of the breakfast buffet and cruise ship shuttle (sign up for shuttle at check in). Lots of restaurants in walking distance. Visited the USS Iowa. That is where we stayed as well in 2017 and already have reservations for our cruise in October.

JamesIowa Posted April 10, 2022 #11 Share Posted April 10, 2022 They’re both ok, both good locations. I’d maybe give the nod to doubletree. It’s a bit nicer than crowne plaza imo (think they may have done some remodeling tho since I was last there in 19). DT has a nice marina, ok on-site restaurant and breakfast is a bit spendy but good. Quick shuttle to pier.
