O's response is to cancel is very interesting.  Compares to Viking - they say sorry we changed the itinerary and here is a OBC to make everything better.

My feeble brain says both companies have figured out where their bookings are strongest, and with strong demand for smaller ships,  and previous customer loyalty - the marketing types at both companies have figured out what their respective markets will bear and crafted policies and itineraries that address their finds and projections.

I guess they are not hopeful that Russia & surrounding areas will be stable by next season

Better to change the itineraries now than disappoint & have to scramble  again next year to find ports that are safe to visit

YMMV

Any changes to 2022 summer Baltic cruises, other than the changes announced back in March?  I'm booked on 21 July Marina.

Have you check the itinerary on O website to see if has changed  since March?

My take....realistically It will be  years  before you see any return to any Russian ports...Given who the government is run by and second, a built up hostility by passengers against  anything Russian/  Sanctions may be such that Russia will be isolated till it repairs Ukraine damage and puts war  crimes on trial.  Every day  more and more  animosity  grows. I mean  would you go  knowing your supporting that country's actions..........    And  better start looking at China who is waving a sword in the pacific and Tiwan.   This whole situation is not looking good.
