Cancellation Insurance before 120 days

Best to check your confirmation.  I believe the insurance needs to be purchased one day before final payment.  I used to do it about a week before...  But if your cruise is a longer one, it might be that insurance is due even earlier which is why I suggest checking your booking confirmation.

An option for what?  To purchase it or when to purchase?

HAL's plan needs to be purchased prior to when the cancellation penalties start. This is usually one day before final payment. On the 2023 World cruise it is one month before final payment. Check your booking confirmation for when cancellation penalties start and buy the insurance before that day.
