We are flying from Toronto to Vancouver (Alaska Cruise). Do I need to complete an ArriveCan app prior to embarkment?  I realize I do need to complete one upon are returned back to Canada.

hopping on this thread - we arrive Vancouver fromthe UK for an overnight hotel stay before a cruise to Alaska. We will complete the ArriveCan less than 72 hours before landing. Do we then need to complete it again before boarding the ship the following day? I assume we also need to complete it before our first Canadian port of call after Alaska (Victoria, then Vancouver).

Yes, you will need a new ArriveCAN submission before boarding. It will have to be completed after using the submission used for your flight.

No, you will not have to make a new submission on the cruise. The submission made for boarding is used. Like a flight, one presents the QR code at check-in and presents it to the authorities, if asked, on arrival.

Yes, you will need to prepare a flight-ArriveCan application before boarding your plane. You will be issued an ArriveCan receipt stating your vax status.

On arrival in Canada, immediately make a new marine-ArriveCan application for your embarkation.

https://arrivecan.cbsa-asfc.cloud-nuage.canada.ca/en/auth?returnUrl=%2Fauth%2Fhome%2Fgetstarted

The current version of ArriveCan allows you to store a profile with your vax details. Any number of future ArriveCan applications can be made by referencing this profile. Requires just 5 minutes to complete a new application.

Enjoy your trip.

I finally got the ArriveCAN app. downloaded onto my cellphone and opened a new account with email and password. When I try to Sign In I get the message Sign In failed and asking if I am connected to the internet which I am.  Any ideas what I should do about this? I am flying into Vancouver a day ahead of my cruise..

Double check the email and password being entered.

You may also need to give the app permission to use data if WiFi internet is not available.
