etruriaguy Posted April 30, 2022 #1 Share Posted April 30, 2022 Hi everyone. Apologies if this has been asked elsewhere. Does anyone know roughly what the current occupancy for the Britannia is right now. We are on in 2 weeks tomorrow and just interested to know where this was at. thanks so much happy sailing. 🙂 🙂
tim2go Posted April 30, 2022 #2 Share Posted April 30, 2022 Funnily enough, I'm onboard in Rotterdam at the moment and just half hour ago was wondering the same thing. If I remember, I'll pop down to reception tomorrow morning and ask.
wowzz Posted April 30, 2022 #3 Share Posted April 30, 2022 At a guess - 70%. Hopefully Tim will give a precise answer tomorrow.
Rare Megabear2 Posted May 1, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 1, 2022 It will be interesting to hear if they've gone beyond 70%. Apparently Celebrity Silhouette sailed her first ex Southampton voyage at over 90%. There apparently were major Covid problems onboard, possibly as a result. My BIL was on previous Britannia cruise and said it was busy but comfortable. Hopefully the increase will be gradual as it would be a shame to introduce problems in the manner described on the Celebrity boards. To date P&O appear to have done well, long may it continue.
tim2go Posted May 1, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Sorry for the slow reply. Full day in Rotterdam so we went ashore in search of some decent food! Just been to reception. They wouldn't give me an exact number of passengers but did say it was approx. 3000.

etruriaguy Posted May 1, 2022 Author #7 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Thanks so much for your help with this Tim. And for all the other replies everyone. Be good to see it a bit busier but comfortably so. 🙂
yorkshirephil Posted May 1, 2022 #8 Share Posted May 1, 2022 Some of the deals coming through suggest that cabins that may have been sidelined are being released for sale. Someone posted on the dark side that Ambassador Ambience sailed last week with only 4 spare cabins. We noticed that Tui have put up a tranche of their river cruise cabins for sale on their site whereas a few weeks ago they were showing as full. SAGA made over £161,000,000 in cruise sales in the last six months. This level of recovery in some lines is very encouraging for us all.
molecrochip Posted May 1, 2022 #10 Share Posted May 1, 2022 It depends upon destination as some cruise ports/countries still require 5% of cabins to be maintained for quarantine passengers. 1
