Tranport from Ward Cove to downtown Ketchikan

How are people planning to get from from the dock at Ward Cove to downtown Ketchikan?  Especially for those who aren''t taking a tour that provides round trip transport.  I've tried getting answers from Royal about whether there was a shuttle to downtown, but to no avail.  The phone lines are way too long to ask an actual agent.

Ward Cove sucks.

True.  The problem is the cruise line not explaining that you will be docking 7 miles away.  How many people who book a cruise would check to see where their ship is docking.  If it says, tender, that is one thing.

Was just at Ward Cove on NCL 2 days ago...there's a shuttle bus to Ketchican that was free of charge.   Dropped us off at Port 2.  Last shuttle was at 2:30 for a 4pm departure.

Was that 2:30 the last shuttle back to the ship?  Or to downtown?  If it's back to the ship that's pretty obnoxiously early.

Back to the ship.  Last shuttle to town was 1:30.

We have booked the 8:30 Lumberjack show on our own and we arrive at 7 am. Do you know how long it would take to get off the ship and into town by shuttle if not booked on a cruise ship tour? Was there a long wait for the shuttles?

It was about 20 minutes to get into town once the shuttle left.   We waited maybe 10 minutes for the shuttle to fill and then left...there was another one coming in right behind us.

Wow, that's completely inexcusable.  For a 4pm departure, with an onboard of 3:30, the last shuttle to the ship should really be more like 3:00 or so.  2:30 is just further eating into your available time.

They said that was 1:30 going from the ship to the town not the other way around.
