I had a reservation for her April 2023 trans Atlantic but canceled as someone else wanted to come so needed to ditch the solo cabin went to rebook this weekend and it’s gone did a small search and nothing for April past her Caribbean sailing in early April nothing for May June either.

The Dawn had a similar itinerary on her Trans Atlantic but the pricing is insane, almost 5k pp in a balcony

The Getaway sailed for Europe as scheduled, however most of Her Batlic Sea cruises were canceled.  She will leave Copenagen, Denmark on the 14th of June (next month) and return to the US.  She will be sailing Caribbean cruises out of Port Canaveral once She arrives in late June.

The cruise I'm referring to is not this year, it was a trans Atlantic scheduled for April 2023, next year

Because of the situation in Northern Europe, Norwegian may not have made a final decision on wheree She will be deployed yet.

Well The Dawn is doing a trans Atlantic same time frame and similar itinerary, but the price is insane thinking maybe Getaway will be going in for dry dock as there is nothing past early April 2023. Plus they have plenty of Northern Europe cruises for 2023 including St Petersburg and we know ships aren't going to be stopping there. I had wanted a trans Atlantic stopping at Ports I haven't been to

I am also on that April 2023 transatlantic cruise and was wondering what happened.

I went on another site and found the cruise, but it said all cabin types were unavailable.

The Dawn's pricing is so much more that I really don't want to book on that.

I so agree as much as I wanted a Spring Trans Atlantic stopping in Le Harve I absolutely will not pay what NCL is charging for that cruise, for a balcony after taxes and port fees are added on you're looking ay $10K for two in a balcony, absolutely nuts. Most of the Northern Europe cruises for spring and summer are focusing on Iceland and Norway.

The Dawn pricing would have to drastically drop after final payment date then I'd book

Possibly.   Not sure when the demand may return for Scandinavia and the Baltics.  Plus it doesn’t look like ships will be visiting St.Petersburg by 2023, which was the big draw for most.

We were looking at an August 2023 cruise on the Getaway that lined up with a Princess Norway fjords cruise.  That cruise isn’t available now.  Someone posted earlier that United cancelled their seasonal summer flights from Newark to Stockholm for 2022.  So looks like demand is down.

Prima is in Northern Europe in 2023 as well.  Overall, it does appear the cruises on the web site are focused on Greenland, Iceland, Ireland and The UK.

Thanks for the heads up, OP.

You don't need (have) to stick with NCL if you can find another company doing Trans Atlantic in the similar time that goes to Le Havre. Just saying. I know it is NCL sub-forum. But at the insane price you are quoting, you should look at alternatives.

I know and I am searching on other cruise lines. NCL's Northern Europe for spring/summer isn't appealing to me either. High concentration on Iceland, Greenland, Norway

Supply and demand……….desirable itinerary + small ship = $$$$$.

Of course and now that they pulled the Getaway the Dawn is only ship doing those ports so pricing will remain high

Not yet and per my account we are still booked for this cruise.  We have already had 2 canceled due to covid which were norther Europe ending in Southampton.  It is looking like strike 3 but keeping my fingers crossed

Getaway was last in dry dock in 2019 (the one they dropped the last two days and two port stops a week before we sailed) so 2023 is a bit early. It seems no schedule is safe at this point. I’m booked on the last Prima cruise in September 2023 and I don’t  think I can stand one more cancellation!

Dear Valued Guests and Travel Partners:

On behalf of Norwegian Cruise Line, thank you very much for your loyalty and for making us your vacation of choice. We have important information regarding your upcoming sailing onboard Norwegian Getaway.

The visibility of the funds is dependent on each financial institution's internal policies.

As we share your disappointment, we have issued a 10% discount in the form of a Future Cruise Credit (FCC). This credit can be used through May 17, 2023 and can be applied towards any of our published sailings through December 31, 2023. The FCC will be available on May 17, 2022.

I am so upset about this! My husband and I have been booked for over a year for our 10 year anniversary cruise for our first time ever going to Europe. Our cruise is/was October 23rd 2023. We have not received the dreaded cancel email yet but I am sure we will. I am absolutely devastating as there is no cruise that goes to these same ports 😭

Just got the dreaded email.  This is our third European cruise that was canceled.  Guess the cruise gods don't want us to go.

It's horrible isn't it.  My 5th now.   Last one was just a couple of weeks ago when they cancelled Prima.   😔.  Just awaiting them to cancel my Star in October !

Me too and I certainly am not going to book the Dawn at those prices and that is the only other cruise with Le Harve as a port stop. I'll have to take a look at what Royal or Celebrity is offering.
