I go to the meet & greet, I talk to people at the bar, and count many people who I have met on cruises amongst my friends. Some of them I have cruised with on multiple occasions. I have eaten with others quite a few times on cruises. However, we have always selected the people we dine with. Generally we like to eat with by ourselves. There is plenty of time to socialise during the rest of the cruise. When we eat with others it is because we specifically want to spend time with those people, rather than feeling that we need to use the dining table as a place to make friends (with people randomly selected for us). I'm a big boy now and I can find my own friends. Thank you. I have been trying to get the feel for the general passenger makeup on NCL. Your post is very helpful. I hope I find more passengers like you.

We were placed at a table for ten with a couple whose husband asked me every time he saw me if I had a gun both in the restaurant and elsewhere on the ship, simply because I was from NY... This made me laugh. I guess the good thing about taking almost all of our cruises out of NY is that we know that everyone else on the ship is carrying at least one gun and huge amounts of drugs 😂

When cruising solo ir with others, I've met awesome new cruise friends onboard at bars, activities, casino, on excursions, etc...one of the best free perks, imo. Shared regular and Lats dinners with families, other solos, adults with older parent, girls night, couples, tons of amazing, fun people. Also choose to dine alone sometimes. Done excursions with fellow cruisers we've met onboard. I've attended most M/Gs and have organized numerous ones. Sometimes there are people you click with immediately, other times not. Not everyone likes large group activities and they just don't participate in slot pulls, pub crawls, etc...but are quite open to meeting new people. Others prefer only the company of the traveling companions. Edited May 14, 2022 by Wvshimmy
