CarolGS Posted May 9, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 9, 2022 A friend and I will be sharing a veranda cabin on our upcoming Alaska cruise in 2 weeks. I noticed that there are many unsold inside cabins right across the hall. Would HAL ever sell the unsold cabin to a passenger after we board so we can have 2 bathrooms and an extra room to sleep? If so, do they eliminate the single supplement? Thanks.
jeh10641 Posted May 9, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 9, 2022 (edited) I have no definitive answer but it is always worth a try. Edited May 9, 2022 by jeh10641 missing letter
SJSULIBRARIAN Posted May 9, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 9, 2022 I don't know either but I doubt they would eliminate the single supplement; you would be paying it on both cabins me thinks. 1
CarolGS Posted May 9, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted May 9, 2022 Yikes! I hadn't even considered that they would add a single supplement to our balcony cabin. Well, I'll ask but won't be surprised if the answer is no.
Rare LAFFNVEGAS Posted May 10, 2022 #5 Share Posted May 10, 2022 I doubt they would even consider it. Actually it would totally confuse them lol I do not beleive there is anyway in their system to even place your name as a passenger twice. Unfortunately it is not like a land based hotel where one person can purchase several hotel rooms.
PACD_JG Posted May 10, 2022 #6 Share Posted May 10, 2022 Interesting question...and I think back to Love Boat episodes. What happened when couples had strife on the ship?

But sometimes one or the other wound up sleeping in lifeboat/lobby for a bit.

Hijinks ensued.

Years ago I was on a HAL ship and a lady in a balcony cabin booked an inside cabin for all her hat boxes!!!! Does anyone else remember this lady?
