After lunch, we headed Southeast towards Mississippi.

Chris and Shelly were exhausted, so they hit the hay early. Susan and I decided to head next door to the Hard Rock Cafe and pick up another location!

We got a comp ticket due to a noise issue in our room the night before. It basically paid for all 4 of us for breakfast.

After the Swamp boat tour, we made our way into NOLA again.

 

 

We wanted to walk around the French Quarter some and get Beignets.

We started to walk around the Quarter. We were looking for someplace to get lunch, but nothing was convenient or serving at the time.

 

 

 

I love the old gas lights.

 

It started to pour as we were walking around, so we decided to just head to Cafe Du Monde.

We walked and got a few souvenirs but scrambled for the car, because it was going to dump again.

Our friends wanted to get part way back towards home, and since the weather was crap, we headed to our hotel near the airport.

 

We found the Kansas City Southern Yard. Chris and I are big train fans!

 

 

 

 

 

 

We said our goodbyes to Chris and Shellie and got checked into the hotel. We ended up ordering Wendy's to be delivered. Items were cold and missing when we got them, but we ate what we could because we were hungry and tired.

The next morning the hotel dropped us off at the car rental facility where we caught a bus to the terminal.

 

 

 

Security was nuts. Luckily, they had a Premium lane for First Class, so we could skip the line!

 

Time to head back to Seattle.

Thanks for this review! We are sailing on the Breakaway in September for the second time and seeing the ship pictures and things to do on board has really helped me with planning. I especially loved the food and menu pics since I like to know in advance what's available to eat. Great job and looks like you both had an amazing time.
