The excursion was fun. I would suggest sticking to Salsa y Salsa in Cozumel over this one. They tried their best, but it was definitely second rate. It was hot and humid, and the fans were not cutting it in the room.

We made it back to the port area.

These guys were doing Danza de los voladores.

Wikipedia says its "The Danza de los Voladores (Spanish pronunciation: [ˈdansa ðe loz βolaˈðoɾes]; "Dance of the Flyers"), or Palo Volador (pronounced [ˈpalo βolaˈðoɾ]; "flying pole"), is an ancient Mesoamerican ceremony/ritual still performed today, albeit in modified form, in isolated pockets in Mexico."

Well it was time to head back to the ship. We were tired, hot, and hungry. Not a good combo!

It was a long Memorial Day weekend for Susan and I. We drove 7+ hours down to my Grandma's House outside of Portland, OR to help my Mom and Aunt pack my Grandma's House. She is on her way to Florida, so we had to get her stuff ready to move down there. We ended up working nonstop for the roughly 36 hours we were down there. We packed the house, loaded a Uhaul, and then unloaded that Uhaul into a storage unit till the movers can move it to Florida. We are exhausted. We then drove that 7+ hours back home on limited sleep on Monday. We both went back to work today. We were glad we were able to help, but it didn't feel much like a holiday weekend.

I am back and will do a little bit more tonight.

Of to trivia and then the Battle of the Cake Masters. BOCM really should be called watch the chef do a correct cake and watch the Cruise Director make a booze cake. Am I wrong?

So we got ready for dinner, and headed down to do the picture circuit. The ship photographers would have 5 to 6 stations set up among decks 6 & 8 each night.

This couple was getting their pictures taken when we arrived at our first station.

Ah the Pineapple! The DSLR did not like the darkness of some of the restaurants onboard, so the photos are a little fuzzy due to lightening.

Thank you again for sharing your great cruise with us at cruise critic.  Very enjoyable and wonderful pictures.  We cruised last month again and so happy to be cruising again.  In October we will be doing New England and Canada and I appreciated your review of that on the Dawn.  Take care and keep cruising!
