Hubbard Glacier Excursion

Has anyone done the small boat excursion through Princess in Hubbard Glacier. It looks like you get off the ship and onto a smaller vessel to get closer to the Glacier. Please only respond only if you have taken the excursion

Yes, we did it in July 2019, the first season it was offered. Definitely worth it. The smaller boat got very close while the Royal Princess stayed 8 miles away which is further than the Star Princess was on past trips.

Agreed. The small boat excursion was worth every penny. I definitely will do it again.

How cold would it be in August /September?

We did that excursion in mid July and it was 50ish. We’ve done other Alaska cruises in mid to late August and have experienced 40’s near the glaciers

AZbirdmom, thanks for the information.  We have attempted this excursion twice and both of them were cancelled --- pea soup fog and vendor problem.  We are trying again on June 26 and hope it happens.
