B2B PERKS - Are there any ?

Returning to Carnival after a few years, just wondering if they offer any perks for back to backers. 

Have a total of four booked and have heard mention  of champagne/photo/fruit or a drink ?

 

Just wondering what I should expect .... if anything

We received everything that you mentioned on our recent Mardi Gras B2B. 😎

I've been digging in the "sale bin" - lots of cheap short trips - 2-3-4 days are open.  Would any of this apply to two $179 trips back to back?   Presumably you notify Carnival and they take care of the testing, escorting off and on?  This seems a way to piece together a week of sailing when cheap seven day trips are not on offer any more.  And in this case only, are you better off booking direct to ensure the same cabin and the "flag" is set?  I not sure the agency systems are as good at B2B.

I have a future (Thanksgiving) B2B on Celebrity, and recently learned that they give a $50 per leg fare reduction for B2B's. Anything that any line wants to throw my way - it's appreciated!

That's basically how we did 14 nights on Sunrise in early February.  If you book them all yourself, you need to specifically inform Carnival to link them all as B2B.  There's a phone # somewhere.  Not sure what it is as we have a PVP that took care of all of that. Enjoy.

 

PS. Do note that a combined B2B is still somewhat different than a longer cruise.  The MDR menu repeats, for example.  But it can be a helluva bargain.

Brilliant.  That was my secret plan.  My DW is not fooled by this, but I am happy to be on a ship and not out $3700.  The Carnival Revenue Department is groaning- oh not him again, but I do pay into the tip pool.  And am nice to everyone and don't make a mess, waste food or hog chairs 🙂

The key 101 is to find itineraries that don't repeat ports.  On our B2B2B, we only did Nassau twice.  In layman's terms, we did a Bahamas run, a Cozumel run, and a Jamaica run. Enjoy.

Carnival site FAQ on B2B cruises requests guests call 1-800-764-7419 to get cruises listed as B2B. This can also be confirmed once onboard but it does need to be brought to their attention that you are B2B. Any token gifts can and do vary by ship as it is up to the Hotel Director.

Don't expect anything. Our first B2B in February we were excited to hear from other people on this site that they got mimosas on the return to ship, champagne and fruit basket in their cabin. We got nothing. I've since earned that it depends on the ship you're on, it's up to the Hotel Director on the ship to decide the perks. We were on the Breeze. Hope your experience is different than mine!

I read about it yesterday (Diamond group on... let's say a social media site) - apparently just being put into place.

We did a B2B on the MG in Feb.  On the 2nd cruise we got

 

1) bottle of Champagne in room

2) Fruit bowl in room with opportunity to refresh it with new items once

3) coupon for a B2B photo at a specific location (the mini car by the Italian place I think), you had to go at a specific day/time to get the photo

4) 2 drink coupons

 

We thought these were nice gestures.

I did a B2B on the Sunshine the last week of April and got a bottle of Champagne and a fruit bowl. That was better than what I got on the Horizon in February when I got a fruit bowl only.

Solid point, hadn't thought of that, combining the shorter sailings! I sail out of Southern California a lot of what's offered is the shorter cruises. Do you use a TA or book through Carnival, May I ask? I've always booked online but I understand a lot of people feel working with a TA is better.

Didn't even think about combining the short ones. I am thinking of watching the Miracle as it seems to go up and down the California coast and switches itineraries all the time.

I did 2 breeze 5 days. Got a glass of champagne and a group picture. No fruit but didnt want any.

We did our first B2B on the Horizon Sept 2021.  We received a B2B photo and a bowl of fruit, no champagne. This trip we had to change cabins, so that was a little bit of a drag.  Our second one was on the Magic in April 2023, we had the same cabin which was great and did receive fruit & champagne.  Both these and the 2 we have booked in the future are all 14 days (8 + 6 and 7 + 7).

Agree that is differs from ship-to-ship.  Panorama (in January), we got a bottle of Champagne and fruit bowl but no picture or mimosa's on re-embarkation.  Spirit (two weeks ago) we got Champagne and fruit bowl and picture (taken in waiting area while waiting to re-board) and no mimosa on re-embarkation.

I did B2B on the Legend and got a group photo of all the B2B guests and one alone, a drink of my choice (I got a beer and my friend got ginger ale) and fruit in the room.  But best of all was that short time when there were very few passengers on board and it was so quiet and relaxing up on the open decks.  Great time
