Rare BirdTravels Posted June 2, 2022 Author #77 Share Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) Be forewarned, for those who plan to “work” while on the cruise, there we’re prolonged periods (all morning, evening) cruising to/from Icy Point Strait where there was no Wi-Fi service. The terrain around the ship was blocking our view of the satellite. And for AT&T users, there was no / very very very poor reception in Icy Strait dock area. CruiszBug Posted June 2, 2022 #81 Share Posted June 2, 2022 The weather has been just beautiful this season so far, hasn't it? I sailed Ovation on the 8-day May 5th. The Northern Lights were even visible one night!

Same on our cruise…..very spotty Wi-Fi and quite a few days the tv channels wouldn’t play or be stuck One day though while this was happening they did play 3-4 pat per view movies for free…..they only announced it on the daily show and we watched a few of them while chilling in the cabin

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 2, 2022 Author #84 Share Posted June 2, 2022 A great service provided by the Port of Seattle is the Port Valet service. Port Valet collects your luggage from your stateroom on the last night of the cruise and checks them in with your airlines. The next time you see your bags is at your home airport. You pay the normal luggage fee from your airline (free for some people). There is no overweight fees, so load up with Alaskan swag.

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 2, 2022 Author #86 Share Posted June 2, 2022 (edited) All passengers need to complete a Canadian customs form, regardless of whether you intend to disembark. Edited June 2, 2022 by BirdTravels

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 2, 2022 Author #96 Share Posted June 2, 2022 The [only] main theater production show is Sequins and Feathers. The “old timer” cruise director advertised it as an “adult show” but it was only dancers in show girl costumes. Fine for all ages.

Rare BirdTravels Posted June 3, 2022 Author #100 Share Posted June 3, 2022 The Quantum has a sad little arcade. There are so many free games that the Arcade doesn’t get as much action.
