Covid test - "within 1 day" can that be more than 24 hours before boarding?

Does that mean you can test the day before at any time?  We are flying to Athens the day before and it makes more sense for us to test in the UK before we fly.  Will cost us i know while free with Princess but saves the inevitable pain of getting home should we test positive.  We are self testing regardless but need a certificate from an observed test.  Just wondering if a test at 9 am UK time the day before will work for a cruise leaving at 7 pm the following day.

So if flying on a Wednesday you can test anytime after midnight on Monday night           ( because after midnight it would technically be Tuesday)? That is excellent news.
