When does TA OBC load to account

Hi- when does OBC from a TA show on a cruise account? We want to buy a specialty dining package and would rather use OBC rather than pay for it ourselves out of pocket when we know OBC is coming . Thanks

Usually after day 1 of cruise. That said, it is almost always refundable. Just use it to offset any CC Charges post cruise.

My TA said it gets sent as a gift and so it doesn't post until you sail. They don't send it sooner because they don't get paid their commission until right around the time that you sail. They need to make sure you don't cancel before they send the OBC.

Make sure you have a copy of your paperwork; my OBC was sent, but Celebrity did not put it in my account until day 6 of my cruise!  They just said I could still spend it....hahahaha.  That only happened to me once!

Thanks all...thats what I thought.  It's been so long since we cruised, I'm having to relearn everything, lol.

It's usually applied on the Second Morning.     You can't use it in advance to purchase anything but an alternative is to purchase it on your credit card and once aboard go to guest relations and have them credit the Credit Card Charge and reapply your OBC.
