We were really hoping Brent Nixon was onboard so disappointing to hear he is not.

You may be in luck…earlier reports from the Eclipse posted that Brent Nixon was on there however more recent reviews post that Milos is the naturalist on Eclipse. You’ll enjoy Brent if you have him, his presentations are not only informative but highly entertaining!

Sure hope Brent Nixon is on the Solstice.  We board on Friday and are really hoping to hear his wonderful lectures.

We are on Solstice now (June 10 - 17) Brent Nixon IS the naturalist on board. Really enjoy his presentations. I must report that at least from our observations, Solstice is in perfect condition. We are in a Celebrity Suite (first time in a suite) no chips or broken anything. No crowds, but masks required in the casino, theater and Celebrity Central. Boxes of masks at the entrances. Little mask wearing anywhere else. We have experienced several exceptional crew members and excellent performers!

Good to hear!   We leave in a month.  Who is the cruise director and the Captain?

We are on Solstice now and she is in good shape. Only a few minor things if you really search them out. Service so far has been great. Not sure what the passenger count is but check in was a madhouse.  Lots of folks obviously came earlier than they were suppose to.    If any one is expecting to see any kind of mask wearing it is not happening.  Our family are one of them few wearing them.  Doesn’t look like anyone seems to care. It’s required in the Theatre but we are not seeing much in the form of compliance.  We were at a well attended Brent Nixon talk in the Theatre this am  and once again we were one of the few!

Good for you for wearing your masks! We got off Solstice two days ago, my wife has now tested positive. We also masked whenever we left the cabin. It is those who may be without symptoms and maskless who are the real problem, along with attitudes of those from other parts of our country who don't seem to care. Be careful!!! I wish your entire family a safe cruise. Alaska is beautiful!

Thank you. Like you we drove to the port. We have not been to the buffet.  We’re hoping for the best. We’re having a good time but for us things are definitely not like they used to be and we are not expecting them to be and that is because of our choices and caution.  We are glad to be back to cruising. Alaska is beautiful.

He was onboard for our cruise on Solstice for our May 6th trip. Excellent presentations by both him and Mary Amanda. His on whales was the best one.

Just off the Solstice, July 15th sailing.  Brent Nixon and Mary Amanda were on board and gave great talks.

As mentioned before, getting on and off the ship at the port in Seattle was chaos.  Make sure you allocate extra time.

We ate our dinners in the dining room and we all felt the food was very good.  Lunch mostly in OV and they had lots of good choices.  Weather chased many inside, so could get pretty crowded.

Most areas were serve yourself, with the exception of the hamburgers, hot dog, grill area. And the carved meat of the day, and of course the ice cream station.  You did help yourself at the beverage area.

Very few masks noted.  Staff are all still wearing masks.    Only heard one mention from the Capt about covid.  He said a few passengers tested positive but had minimal symptoms.    There was an announcement asking for anyone with O positive blood type to report to the Health Station.  So I am assuming they had some type of injurie onboard that required blood transfusion.
