Why do I suddenly see a lot of CVP instead of PVP?  What does the C stand for and why the change?

My PCL CVP calls herself a Cruise vacation planner, not a PVP like Carnival calls themselves and some other lines.

Now it’s CVP,  used to be PVP.

Yes, but why?  If the C stands for cruise it is a bit of a misnomer because they are not selling any cruise, just Princess cruises.

They probably decided that Princess Vacation Planner and Princess Vacation Protection was confusing.

Good thought. I recall in years past, our Princess "consultant" was referred to as a "Princess Vacation Planner" but in recent years switched to "Princess Cruise Vacation Planner". We also have a similar consultant with Celebrity, who also refers to himself as a Cruise Vacation Planner. So, the generic reference these days seems to be CVP.
