How to go about adding another person to a cabin

Recommended Posts

Hello fellow cruisers!  I have a question and I'm hoping that experienced cruisers might have the answer for this.  I have an interior cabin on an upcoming cruise (Liberty on 9/11) and it has been paid in full.  Naturally, cabins are usually double occupancy, so because it was only going to be me, I had to pay a bit more.  If I have someone who is interested in potentially joining me, how would this be done?  I know that I would have to inform RCL about it, but is it just a simple matter of advising them that I'm going to have someone else join me and provide RCL with all the important specifics (DOB, passport #, etc)?  Would they tack on additional charges?  Any info is appreciated on this subject.  Thanks!

If you booked with Royal Caribbean contact them to make the change. If you booked with the travel agency they should be able to do it.

I forgot to say the fare would change a bit between one person and two passengers in the cabin but if you are splitting the cost of the cabin it would work out being less expensive for you.

Assuming the OP paid the usual 200% solo supplement, there should be no increase in the fare when adding the second person.

True, however I booked a couple of cruises that had a great price for solos so I guess it all depends.
