First boardings delayed  till after 1pm  , terminal was almost full at one stage.

Be sure your test results are recent enough. For this Sunday sailing test had to be after midnight on Friday. Many were older than this and had to take further test before boarding.

No speciality restaurant open

No satellite TV,so no sky BBC national geographic, prime etc, apparently they are working "tirelessly" to fix this but it sounded not to be anytime soon. I miss S KY news.

Olden tomorrow cancelled for operating reason and replaced with Bergen.

Last night gala BW dinner was excellent menu and service.

Almost 100% dress code conformity.

Not much mask wearing.

1500 passenger on board.

Yes there is a tent on site . Cost is either 100£ or 100$ per couple.

Meal times 6 pm and 8.30pm,theatre shows 8pm and 10pm

Crew moral seems high.

WiFi slow.

The app does not show menu's neither does it show list of day's events.

Were people wearing masks inside the terminal at Soton?

Perhaps 1 in 10 wore a mask.

On missing TV info the navigation info is missing. All there only a Beaufort scale info sheet and a picture of the ship with a few facts.

No idea where we are!

Oh dear, that's a bit worrying.

According to Vesselfinder, you're a little SW of Stavanger.

As long as the Bridge know where they are, I'll be a happy camper...or cruiser!😀

Oh, I like to know where we are, and what the other ships nearby are.

Not noticed that facility but then, not really looked over all the years.

Hopefully, the system as a whole will 'get there'.

Its not on their map, it's on the Vesselfinder website, and various others.

I feel as though I've been lost at sea since about the mid-1980s

I've found that opening the maps app on my i-phone will show me where in the world I am. I only thought of this now as I discovered the function while I was at sea off the coast of Norway a few years ago. It's absolutely fascinating to see exactly where you are especially along that particular convoluted coast line.

By the way, Bergen is a lovely city. I hope you enjoy your visit there.

Will you be visiting Olden later on this cruise? What was the operating reason?

There was no reason given and we are not going back.

We were happy with the change as we have been to olden but not Bergen

Yes Bergen was a good visit although it was raining.

Neil Kelly is the CD

Dining changing to 5.45pm and 8.15pm.

As well as no satellite TV we are warned of intermittent or no internet.

This means you can never comfortably have afternoon tea and eat in Britannia on an early sitting. I wonder if the change is due to short staff in the dining room, making people late for the shows. We were served dinner [entrée] at 9.50 last week, having been seated promptly at 8.30

To clarify, early dining is 5.45pm to be seated by 6.15pm and late dining 8.15pm to be seated by 8.45pm. We arrived just after 6pm last night and would guess only a minority arrived at 5.45pm as most tables were still empty. Main  course has been served @7pm.

Afternoon tea is 3pm.

Staffing levels may be improving as pub is doing food and steakhouse is open again from today according to daily sheet.

Last night we entered dining room just before 6 and left after 3 courses, coffee and petitfours at 6.40.

Reading the posts regarding QV with interest. We will be on QV later this month. We should have been on QV last December but shortly before we should have sailed, I was diagnosed with Cancer. We were past the point of refunds, had paid in full,  so the next thing would have been claiming on insurance, which was low on my list. Cunard were wonderful and we were able to re-book. Having fully recovered I am looking forward to some sun, some cocktails and chill time with my husband who has been a total star.

I am sure you will have great food served by wonderful crew.

Steakhouse is becoming a Norwegian themed eatery in the evening from Thursday called Nordlys. Still steakhouse lunchtime. $25 evening.

Our cabin AC was too cold and quite noisy from central outlet as high volume of cold air pumping out.  I reported this and tech came quickly. He. removed thermostat and played around for a while then started on the central air outlet. It proved unable to get warm air so he reappeared with 3 pads of felt cut to right size for the outlet and stuffed these into outlet which reduced air volume to a trickle. This must be a recognised fix as he was only gone minutes and foam pads were exact size. Now quiet and temp acceptable.

Sounds interesting, has a menu been published?

Is this a permanent change? I hope not as the Verandah is one of our favourite parts of a Cunard cruise!
