Dining Advice

We are on the Eclipse in October out of Sydney. Have travelled several lines and this will be our third Celebrity cruise.

Anytime dining has proven a bit of a challenge compared to our other experiences so I thought I would pre-book. We prefer to share. I have booked either 6:30 or 7 with 7:45 the first night. Sails at 630. Anything I should consider, or is this reasonable.

I also booked a dinner in Murano's for one night. I paid with my OBC. I see it is now a bit less expensive. Can I phone and get this changed or do I have to live with it? I am reluctant to cancel and rebook as the time might not be available.

Any feedback will be appreciated.

You could do a mock reservation for Murano and see what times are available, if no spots for the day and time you have  or would find acceptable I wouldn’t cancel.

I can not  advise on the MDR and shared tables as we book times because we want a table for 2.

We usually book anytime dining for 90 minutes post sail away on port days and at 7 on sea days. They will ask when you arrive if you want to share or have a table for 2. They must note it against your room as we don’t normally get asked again and just get a table for 2.

Prices for specialty went up a few weeks ago.  You can call and ask or try on app but think leaving it probably best if a call doesn't work.

Sharing is not a problem. On arrival each night join the line (if any) for pre booked,  the Host at the desk will take your cabin number, at that point simply say "sharing please". We also add "table of six if possible, please'".On leaving always make a point of thanking the Host and within a couple of days they will be the ones greeting you with "sharing as usual?". We also tell the host as we leave if we have a Speciality Restaurant booked the next night. In reality they know it but it shows you are not taking them for granted. We also give the Host a box of chocolates on the last night.
