Sailor loot to use for excursions?

I wondered if you can use sailor loot to buy excursions on board. I know you can't on NCL.

Yes, you can.  NCL must be odd.....I've been able to on every line I've cruised!  (40+ cruises on at least 5 different lines....I may be forgetting some!)

You can only use it once you're onboard - you can't prebook with sailor loot.

Which is actually the same as NCL, you can use on board credit for excursions, you just have to wait until you get on the ship to use it that way.

Sorry--I see what you guys are saying.  Yes, you can use the Sailor's Loot for excursions "Shore Things" after you board.  Technically, the money isn't in your account till you check in at the port.

Also remember that your "bar tab" is different to your "sailor loot". 

Your prepaid bar tab can only be used on the bars / drinks on board. So if you book an excursion it wont be taken from this pot of funds. It used to all be combined by now its split out and managed better.
