Boston Parking

We are a group of 10, staying in Boston 2 nights after our cruise. One in our group is driving. Out of necessity, our hotel is fairly far out. So going to the hotel,  dropping off luggage and getting back to port will eat up a lot of the morning.

To save time and get started on touring Boston as soon as possible,  we want to store everyone's luggage in the vehicle of the person driving and head out on the town. Then return to port in the afternoon to Uber to the hotel. We realize we have to pay for an extra day of parking.

Question: how would that work?  Would everyone in our party need to go to the vehicle or can the driver come to the port, load up the luggage and re-park? Can uber/lyft drivers come to the port, or where is the pickup for that?

That is rather complicated.  The parking is not that close  to the port.  You pay by the length of your cruise not daily.  The driver should contact the Massport Parking lot (mornings there might be someone to answer) and ask the question.  I would also be very wary of your luggage showing in a parked vehicle.  This invites theft.   Why not drop the luggage at the hotel first if at all possible, they can hold the luggage in their closet until you return to check in.  UBER is active at the port.  Your friends who are not driving may want to consider booking an UBER ride to the hotel.  I just don't see how this scenario will work.

Where is your hotel?
