@Saint GregI often tell people that it's cheaper for me to cruise than "live at home".

I have a very good rent (we have rent laws here)...and even with that, if you add in food and entertainment.....a day on land is more expensive than a day at sea.

However, as a local I go to Applejack's (I told you so)......not Katz's Deli.

I rarely Uber.  If the subway/bus doesn't go there....neither do I!

I typed all this in notepad at the red frog rum bar since I can’t post out there. While I was out there a lady saw me typing and  asked me if I had service because she couldn’t use the hub app. I told her step inside the doors and it works.

This is actually really smart. I’m not sure if other CDs are doing it or not. This is the first time I’ve seen it.

The best part of the now defunct lip synch battle was at the end when they dress the guy up as Tina Turner for rolling on a river. People always went crazy. I’d go just to catch that part and see the reaction then leave. Well Ryan did it for the finale of Motown showdown. Smart to work such a popular moment into the the post covid schedule.

I’m sitting here at the red frog rum bar typing it’s and a lady taps me on the shoulder and asks me to order her a rum punch. I don’t think so. Wait in the walk up line.

Now people are clogging up the area where waiters are supposed to pickup drink orders. The boat is 100% back to normal.

I get it. They want me to take my drink and leave so they can get one and get back their loungers by the pool that they’re holding with a towel because they don’t want to tip a waiter.

But this this a bar with stools for people to sit at. If tables were available (they aren’t) and I wanted to sit at one I would use the servers.

There are really no events I’m interested in the rest of the afternoon. I’ll probably grab lunch hit the Serenity bar and use my free play in the casino.

Hey Greg! We're sailing out of Bermuda now, opening a spot for you guys tomorrow. Actually,  you'll be the only ship here tomorrow,  and the Norwegian Joy will join you on Saturday. The rain is starting to let up (of course), and we left the island in good shape for you. If anything it's shiny clean with the drenching rain. 😁

During this series of photos where Manhattan is slipping further and further away, did you get emotional a tiny bit?  Did NYC steal your heart like it did mine?

It gets to us as well,  and we've done it 23 times! 😎

The way I used to do sea days was go to the dining room for breakfast and lunch. Now that they cut brunch off at noon, I’m going to do what they want me to do. Eat breakfast there then lunch on lido. Maybe I’ll do pasta or a burrito. I’m not doing that burger again today.

I can't remember if we talked about the orange habanero sauce on the salsa bar before, I think it's amazing and I would buy it by the bottle if I could.  Kinda like "the sauce" from Crisp & Juicy that goes great on everything.  Anyway I think you would like the orange habanero sauce, it has great flavor and moderate + heat, not burning heat.

I avoid the salsa bar because I don’t want to touch things everyone else is touching before I eat things I have to pickup. Is this a dispenser I can just push down with my arm like the ketchup? A squeeze bottle I have to grasp? Or a spoon I have to pickup?

So the rent deal is like it is on Seinfeld where like it can’t go up….and if you get an apartment from an older person who has been there forever you can get cheap rent? That would help with things. Rent always seemed to be a big topic on that show. Using the subway and not having gas or a a car payment/insurance would help as well.

Thanks. I’ll look into applejacks for next time. My suggestions all came from local bloggers. That wasn’t on my list. I hadn’t heard of it.  But  a place I didn’t make it to called Sarges was on it.  One of the local bloggers said he like it more than Katz’s.

Good morning Greg! It's absolutely pouring here in Bermuda this morning. Hopefully it will all be gone by the time you get here tomorrow. Patti pretty much had the Dockyard covered yesterday, so if we don't get out today it's no big deal. We head back to Baltimore this afternoon. We're really nervous about the testing this afternoon after reading the many stories about people catching Covid while on board the ship. Keep your fingers crossed for us. 😎

Ugh, that would be the worst!  Keep us posted!  Looking forward to your review as well.  I’ll live vicariously through you and Greg until my turn in Oct.

Since I still haven’t booked for next summer which is unusual at this point…return trips to NY or Seattle are possible next summer.

I thought you were looking into Europe.  I can provide details after I'm back from our Mediterranean cruise in a month.

This is jalapeño tortilla. Beef. Black beans. Everything else on it. Guac and hot sauce.

I’ll probably be more of a BI guy now that guys has gone downhill.

I had a 10 minute wait for a corona doing it the right way at BI. A lady tried going in the sever area there and was told to go to the walk up area.

I knew the people by the barstools weren’t staying so I waited for one to leave, then I moved in. I took my beer and burrito to the buffet where they don’t have bar service but they do have available seating. No seating is available on lido
