What is Group booking and what happens if one reservation needs to be canceled?

So it turns out that our friend's family has COVID and cannot travel with us on Sunday.

 

We have 2 separate reservation numbers and 2 separate rooms. - just a few doors down. 

 

Everything is linked in our Accounts and App - like check-in and dining. 

 

And when we wanted to unlink it, we were told that our booking is Group booking and done through Travel agent, so RCL cannot help us at all. 

AND my trav agent is on vacation and his back up has no clue what she is doing and left for home in the middle of conversation!!!

 

If my friend cancels her cruise, what will happen to mine? We are already here and ready to sail. We have negative results too. 

 

Since I have only 2 days, I am very worried now. 😞

Group Booking just means that you got a better rate.  Enjoy your cruise!

Then what do I do with the linked dining reservations and check in stuff? 

It shows in my app.

I'd do nothing with it.  Once they don't board their booking should fall off.  Keep an eye on your own stuff just in case someone makes a mistake and includes your booking when they cancel the other party's booking.

I see. They are canceling theirs today. 

So i will check mine when that happens.
