Red Frog Pub Happy Hours ~ do all ships have this?

We were on Valor earlier this year and Red Frog Pub had 1/2 price drinks for a few hours on the first day.

 

but when we went on Ecstasy last month, there wasn’t a happy hour that first day (or any day).

 

we’re going on Elation in 2 weeks.  Will they have Happy Hour on the first day or any day?

 

is there a list somewhere of ships that have Happy Hour

We were on Elation in January 2022 and there were no half price signs at the red frog bar by the pool. I think maybe the half price only happens on ships with the full red frog pub. 
Sunshine way back in 2020 had it not only on the first day but also on atleast one of the port days.

They had it on the Magic until 2pm in July

There is a difference between the Red Frog Pub and the Red Frog rum bar.

No RFP on Elation.  You will only have the poolside RF rum bar and they normally only have specials such $1 off a drink or a few $$$ off a beer bucket.

The RFP on the Valor in August did not have 1/2 priced beer for happy hour.

try the casino bar. have seen happy hours on first day on those ships without red frog.

Red Frog Pub on Sunshine discontinued the happy hour promotion as of my August 20 cruise. We were very disappointed, and we weren't the only ones asking about it. We took advantage on our Sunrise sailing in February and made a point to hit RFP before going to our room on Sunshine, but the promotion is no longer. The bartenders didn't know why, only that it had been discontinued.

Alright, since we have figured out the issue of happy hour, I want to know what people think about the fish and chips at the Red Frog?  Which I guess they call the Grouper Fingers, I just want to have a good beer and some fried fish.

I thought they were very good.  I've had them twice.  Just know that not all Red Frog Pubs serve food. Only Breeze and Magic I think.

OP :  as stated by prev posters. No only a few exist but, IMO it should be on every ship. Loved that concept

and the $extra snacks were reasonable and nice, you can stay longer than.  Honestly I’d expand it to outside & inside and make it a big deal.  To each their own. But, I haven’t been on the Mardi Gra or Panorama yet so …

Not saying it doesn't happen at all, but anecdotally I haven't seen that casino happy hour on day 1 for several years (when Carnival had booths/tables on the Promenade deck, each with something they were trying to sell you sale onboard, like drink packages, and if you got your card stamped by all of them your name got entered in some drawing).

 

The casino bar was so busy you couldn't get a seat or even a drink.  That experiment (the booths and casino happy hour) didn't last long from what I recall.

We were on Magic in May…no more food even the little nibbles…in Red Frog Pub. Not sure if it’s changed since then.

Just off the Radiance no food or happy hour. First cruise on the Radiance so I don't know if they ever served food.

Was on Valor in April and the Happy Hour half-price Fishbowls, beers, etc. were still on offer on Embarkation Day. Did not see any food offered. Hoping to snag a half-price Fishbowl this Saturday. Will check it out and hope to report back with a positive result.

Obviously you were on your cruise back in August and I wasn't but I was on the Sunshine in May of this year and they had happy hour on embark day and then on the 3rd day....not terribly well advertised, but it was there and we took full advantage of the half price pitchers and buckets of beer.

Sad to say they no longer serve the 1/2 price Fishbowls, etc. on the Valor at the Red Frog Pub on Embarkation day. We were on Sept. 10 to 15. The Bartenders said they were sorry to see it go and had no idea why the promotion was discontinued. The venue was deserted.

I was on Elation out of Charleston (October 2018) and they did have the boarding day Happy Hour at the casino bar (along the interior Promenade walk).  I believe that was the only place and time on that sailing.

Carnival ended that years ago.
