Casino Gents Night?!?

Looking at my upcoming cruise on the Summit, they have a Casino Gents Night where the description is “Gents only”.  Do they really kick all the woman out of the casino for an hour?  (There is also a Casino Ladies Night on another night.) It says it’s from 8-9 and 10-11.  So the opposing gender is kicked out for an hour, let back in for an hour and the kicked out again. Are they serious?!?  And who decides what gender someone is?

SMH.  You are serious I presume. Be that as it may, most likely a section reserved for the event.

It's usually a give away time.  Win a bottle of "gents" cologne or "ladies" gifts.  Never been kicked out of casino.  Although I keep waiting for American Express to come and remove me from the tables!😁

Must be something very new. I've been on 3 Celebrity cruises since the restart, including the Summit and never heard of this event in the casino.

We've been on 14 Celebrity cruises since restart and have seen this a few times.  Have never won anything and can't remember which ships we have seen it on.

Well I'll have to eat my words and apologize. Went back to look at the daily planners for the 2/6/22 Reflection sailing and lo and behold it's right in there:

It’s just a “theme” for one of the nights…also a”lady’s night” at some point.   Not really a night for “gents” ONLY…all are welcome !   Names are randomly selected  ( submit your seapass at tables or slot machines).  Husband and I each “won” a casino credit certificate of $20 and $25.  Didn’t hear of anything more significant given away.

I agree this is just a new way to run "hot seat prize" night in the casino.  On an April cruise my name was drawn (while I was playing)  and I had a choice of several "ladies" prizes donated by the shops.  I would have liked free play better (not offered) but took perfume.  I gave it away to our daughter when I got home but free is free and it is fun to win.
