Wonder if I should reserve the internet package now before they ratchet up the price if Starlink is installed by then You can always buy now and if cheaper before your cruise cancel and rebook at new price for internet. Maybe they will offer promo on intro to starlink😁

No luggage or checkin is involved with the process. On Anthem last March/April we stayed onboard and customs agent came onboard to the royal theater. That was nice! Love the high quality videos as we sail vicariously through you 🙂 Question on Nassau if I may. It has been noted that it is a pretty long walk from Oasis dock to terminal street area. It appears that they have now installed coverings at least to shade from sun. As someone that has some respiratory problems long hot walks are not in my wheelhouse anymore. Is walk as much as it appears distance wise? Also curious, do you still have to leave ship on B2B and reenter/checkin for second sailing? As many sailings as we have done through the years Linda and I have never actually done a back to back. But we have seen groups of B2B'ers walked through pier side terminal area. Thanks George in NY - Oasis 10/2/2022 we're ready! Oasis seems to always dock at very end of the pier. It is a very long hot walk. They have a little booth set up where you can catch a ride on golf carts instead of walking. Tends to be a wait for the shuttle people but we'll worth it if you have complications. Rare Radio Posted September 17, 2022 Author #290 Share Posted September 17, 2022 (edited) Hello everyone and good evening. I've had a great Cruise. The mood of all current passengers seems to be very positive. Yes, it's the last day of the cruise however, passengers are acting like they are on their first day at sea. They're very happy, they're very animated, and overall very friendly. The Anchors Away Parade was at the Royal Promenade on Deck 5. It was very good. There were no parades last year on Oasis of the Seas in October 2021. The costumes were wonderful, as well as the props and the music. I would say to all future passengers that this is a must see event. I went to Captain's Corner this morning in the Royal Theater. It was hosted by Cruise director Bobby, and the Captain was able to answer many questions. I asked a question about the "technical difficulties" in the Aquatheater, and I was surprised by his answer. It was suggested that technicians were working on the problem as we speak, and hope to have everything up to speed when passengers board Oasis of the Seas tomorrow. Another question came up regarding Hurricane Fiona. The question was "Will Hurricane Fiona have an effect on the next sailing of Oasis of the Seas" The Captain suggested that there are no current plans to make any changes for the sailing on September 18th. Depending on what Fiona does, there is A-B-C-D plan for Oasis of the Seas. It could be as little as arrival time into ports, maybe altering the itinerary, possibly skipping a port. It all depends on the path of Fiona. The captain also suggested that Oasis of the Seas will maintain open communication with Miami to make a decision in the best interest of the passengers. Tomorrow morning, about 70 B2B cruisers will meet in the Royal Theater at 8:00 am. When the last cruiser completes debarkation(around 9:30), we will be processed and receive our new Sea Pass card. Embarkation for new passengers should begin around 10:30am. Oasis of the Seas is planning on picking up the pilot at the Sandy Hook pilot station by 4:00 am. We should be passing under the Verrazano bridge by 5am. Oasis of the Seas should be approaching the pier slowly at Cape Liberty at about 6am. Here are a few pics from today. Thanks for all the great comments, and questions. And thanks to everyone for tuning in. . . Oh yeah. . . Tomorrow starts week #2. Radio Captain's Corner Sunny Day at the Pool Many passengers were up on the decks Anchors Away Parade on Deck 5 There we're a lot of props. A lot of passengers were enjoying the show There was a lot of sun in the solarium today. The solarium Sundeck was very popular The Solarium Sundeck was added in 2019 I might have to dine in the Solarium Bistro next week These desserts look very yummy. Blue skies and calm blue Seas . I spoke to the Hotel Director who suggested that the decision on whether passengers go into the terminal or get processed on board is the decision of the CBP Agents assigned to Cape Liberty on that particular day. He suggested that B2B Cruisers may stay on board or may go into the Terminal (it just depends on the Agents). . . He noted that they never really know until Oasis arrives at the pier. I've only done B2B 2 times and last Oct 2021 we went to the Terminal at Cape Liberty on Oasis, and Anthem in Dec 2021 we were processed in the theater.
Rare Radio Posted September 18, 2022 Author #298 Share Posted September 18, 2022 Hello everyone, and good morning. Welcome to DAY 1 of "LIVE" from Oasis of the Seas (Week 2) We picked up the pilot this morning at the Sandy Hook pilot station around 4 as suggested by Captain Tore. We passed under the Verrazano bridge a little after 5. We are now approaching the pier slowly at Cape Liberty Cruise Port (5:45am) I couldn't believe that passengers were already standing in line for debarkation at 5am. All passengers should be off of the ship by around 9:30 am. Boarding should begin around 10:30 am. It's the end of a great cruise for many passengers. On the same note, another 6000 passengers are very happy because they will soon be boarding one of the largest cruise ships in the world. They are very happy to experience the beautiful Oasis of the Seas. It will be fun to see The smiling faces of parents and children as they step on board Oasis of the Seas for the first time. My next post should be during the boarding process later this morning. Here are a few pics from this morning. Thanks for tuning in. Radio . Bright lights at Deck 15 - 16 - 17 We will pass under the Verrazano bridge soon. The Debarkation area was set up very early this morning. Oasis of the Seas approaching the pier slowly. Passengers already in line to get off the ship at 5:00 am. It's Cruise Day Week 2 .
