RoyalUp response, are they waiting for a last-minute cancelation?

We have reviewed the RoyalUp bids for your upcoming sailing onboard Independence of the Seas®. While we have not selected your offer yet, the team onboard the ship is still reviewing, and may choose it for upgrade based on availability at departure time.

If you do not wish to be upgraded onboard, you may cancel your offer by clicking the below link and following through with the cancellation steps. You will be able to modify or cancel your bid(s) up to 2 hours before departure on embarkation date.

Yes, essentially there are no rooms left to upgrade, but a last minute cancellation, etc. might free up a room. Don't get your hopes up. We received the same email, then at 5pm on departure day (an hour after sail-away) we received the "Your RoyalUp request was unsuccessful" email.

Yeah, I’ve gotten those lately.  Then I got rejections after we sailed.  I think it is a boilerplate email.  You are being told there will be no more RoyalUp upgrades before the day of the cruise. If last minute cancellations happen, on board staff must manage the upgrades, so you’ll have to relocate cabins.  Cancel your bids if you do not want to fuss with that; understandably some people don’t want the fuss.  Also understandably, some people want to keep the small chance if an upgrade regardless of any fuss….if that’s you, leave your bid, but do not get your hopes up; it is a long shot, especially with a minimum bid now that ships are sailing full again.

I already tried that, waited for a couple weeks with no results and my up bid was by $25pp.  Finally gave up and canceled our bid.  I'm happy with the location we're at, central just off the Centrum within steps of R Bar...all is well.  And I have more $$ to spend.

You can get the upgrade after you board. Once they leave the dock, they know which cabins are available and which bids match up with them. We received an upgrade several hours after sail away earlier this year.

Ship's leaving tomorrow, so will find out soon.  We'll post pone unpacking until checking with guest serv.   I'm fine with the BL but wanted the GS for free RService and MDR menu in the cabin plus GF can get free drinks in the lounge.  I'm D+ and with comp drinks in the casino that's more than enough for me.

That's when I cancelled mine for EN in July.  I really didn't want to find out after I was onboard and unpacked.  I had known our chances were slim to none for JS to GS as there's only about 10 GS on EN.

You probably know this already but, if you booked your GF as living with you and occupying your ship cabin, she is entitled to your D+ status on board.😉 Cheers!
