Shore fishing in Juneau or Ketchikan

Taking grandson on cruise next summer and looking for a budget friendly option for him to fish at either location. Looking for maybe a couple of hours and we would need to rent equipment. Any suggestions would be awesome!

Check near the Juneau fish hatchery or the Ketch bridge near Dolly's house. Read up on when the best dates to fish are. The salmon only run certain times of the year so it may be fishing but not catching.

Yes Creek Street in Ketchikan.  Easy walk from the cruise pier, rentals at Dollys.  We were last there Sept 2nd and still fish around, a few people fishing.  Seen it packed there mid July to mid August. Years ago people even fished and caught from the docks, but don't think that is allowed anymore
