Pier 35 San Francisco

I have sailed several times from pier 27 in San Francisco, but never from pier 35.  Since there are two ships in port the day we are embarking, we are scheduled to load at pier 35.   Would like to know how luggage drop off and passenger drop off work at this pier.  Looking at google maps it does not look like there is a drop off area,  we will probably arrive by Uber and not sure how the drop off works.  It looks like there may be some space out front but not sure if those will be reserved for buses.

Thanks in advance for any info,  wish we were embarking from 27 it is nice and has always been quick boarding

Similar,  just not as well structured. You will be dropped at the curb. Stevedores will grab your bags. Check in will take place, just not in as pretty a location. Remember, cruises ran out of Pier 35 for decades. We boarded twice at Pier 35. It went fine, it wasn't delayed in any way. Just not as physically well presented.

Pier 35 is historic, yet remains functional.  There is a different "vibe" about it that does not exist at the new cruise ship pier.
