Yacht club cancellation (CAUTION)

Was pretty shocked and disappointed today to learn that yacht club deposits are non refundable, and do not become a future cruise credit.  We booked B2B cruises for my birthday  6 days ago,and learned that we couldn't go on those dates.  If you are going to book one of these suites, please read the terms and conditions prior to booking, cause the agents do not tell you it is non refundable

Yea, good advice, to always check the terns amd conditions of your booking (or anytbing realiy) BEFORE  you put money down. 

The info that YC deposits are not refundable is very readily available at their website. You do get 1 free cruise change, under the Cruise with Confidence details, but not a refund...

Unfortunate that you didn't pay attention to the terms you booked under in advance. 

Now you know. Hopefully you can  change to a different date thatsuits you. Happy sails in the future.

If the OP decides to change, some more info here.....

 

^* The free cruise change is applicable either on the cruise dates or on the destination. Such change needs to be performed up to 1 month before departure, for a new cruise to sail within 3 months from the original departure. Any cruise change shall be requested through our contact center.

And you need to use the original reservation number when booking the new cruise. I speak from experience. They are not like other cruise lines that give you future cruise credit. They have no such thing. Not easy to deal with.
